블루크리습(Bluecrip)은 1997년에 플로리다에서 발표한 품종이다

US 특허 품종. 증식에는 라이센스가 필요.

품종 이름인 “Bluecrisp”의 “crisp”은 “파삭파삭”혹은”와삭 와삭” 느낌의 “신선함”을 가리키는 말이다.

그리고 해외 정보에 따르면 그 느낌은 “crunchy”,나..”unusually high firmness”로 표현된다.

중소과의 열매로..껍질이 두껍고 경도가 좋다..

​거기다..과병흔도 작고 건조하여수송성이나 저장성이 좋다..

​꼭지 무늬 흔적은 건조하고, 과병흔이 약간 깊다.

수세는 비교적 강하고 개장 성 나무 모양.

`Bluecrisp` and both its pollen and its seed parent are mainly Vaccinium corymbosum L., but `Bluecrisp` and both of its parents have some genes from Vaccinium darrowi Camp. The cross from which the original plant was grown was made in a greenhouse in Gainesville in March 1980. Because the seeds from a large number of crosses were bulked before planting, the exact seed and pollen parents that gave rise to `Bluecrisp` are not known. However, both parental clones were products of a long-term recurrent selection program in which characteristics of northern highbush varieties were being combined with characteristics of V. darrowi, a native Florida species. None of the clones used in any of the crosses that produced the bulk was patented. The original plant of `Bluecrisp` was selected in 1984, after it fruited in a field nursery in Gainesville, Fla., where it was being evaluated along with approximately 10,000 seedlings of other genotypes. A 15-plant test plot of asexually propagated plants was established in Gainesville in 1986. Other plants from rooted cuttings were planted at test locations in Interlachen, Fla., and at Homerville, Ga. The clone was selected as a useful cultivar based on superior berry and plant qualities manifested at these sites between 1986 and 1997.

(블루크리습(Bluecrisp)와 꽃가루, 종자 모체는 주로 Vaccinium corymbosum L.이지만 블루크리습(Bluecrisp)와 부모 모체는 Vaccinium darrowi Camp에서 일부 유전자를 갖고 있다. 원래의 식물이 자라난 교차수분은 1980년 3월 게인스빌의 한 온실에서 만들어졌다. 심기 전 많은 수의 교차수분에서 나온 씨앗이 뭉쳐져 있어 블루크리습을 탄생시킨 정확한 종자와 꽃가루 어버이는 알려지지 않았다. 그러나, 두 어버이 클론은 북부 하이부시 품종의 특성과 플로리다 토착종인 V. darrowi의 특성이 결합되는 장기 반복 선택 프로그램의 산물이었다. 대량 생산한 십자가에 사용된 복제품 중 어떤 것도 특허를 받지 못했다. 블루크리습 원형은 1984년 미국 플로리다 주 게인스빌의 한 야전 양묘장에서 다른 유전자형 묘목 1만여 마리와 함께 수확한 뒤 선정됐다. 1986년 게인스빌에서 15개 식물에 대한 시험 계획이 수립되었다. 뿌리채 뽑기에서 나온 다른 식물들은 플로리다 인터라첸과 가의 호머빌에 있는 시험장소에 심어졌다. 이 복제는 1986년에서 1997년 사이에 이 지역에서 나타난 우수한 베리와 식물의 성질을 바탕으로 한 유용한 재배종으로 선정되었다.)
