래빗아이 블루베리(Rabbiteye Blueberry)

The new blueberry plant variety ‘Overtime’ is provided. ‘Overtime’ is a commercial variety intended for the hand harvest fresh market. The variety has medium sized, light blue fruit which has and an excellent fruity flavor and lacks the typical grittiness of rabbiteye blueberries. ‘Overtime’ ripens about one week earlier than ‘Powderblue’ and ‘Ochlockonee’, and has comparable yields. The variety shows good tolerance to bacterial canker caused by Pseudomonas syringae.

 

블루베리 신품종 '오버타임'을 제공합니다. '오버타임'은 손으로 수확한 신선한 시장을 겨냥한 상업용 품종입니다. 이 품종은 중간 크기의 연한 파란색 과일을 가지고 있으며 과일 향이 뛰어나고 래빗아이 블루베리의 전형적인 껄끄러움이 적습니다. '오버타임'은 '파우더블루', '오클락코니'보다 일주일 정도 일찍 익으며 비슷한 수확량을 보입니다. 이 품종은 Pseudomonas syringae로 인한 세균성 궤양병에 대해 우수한 내성을 보입니다.

 

 

 

Overtime

Overtime blueberries are the first Rabbiteye release from the Fall Creek Genetics™ program, selected in the Pacific Northwest for its improved berry quality and as a pollinator to Ochlockonee. Its berries are light sky blue, very round and have excellent flavor. The texture of the fruit is less gritty compared to Powderblue. We suggest the Overtime blueberry for commercial plantings where a very late season, high quality fresh market berry is desired. Overtime blueberries are much more resistant to bacterial canker than Powderblue.
